House Rented in Wilmington, NC
Description of House that has been rented in Wilmington, NC
Currently not on rental market. Email djohnsale@gmail.com if you want to be informed when house is available for rent or sale.
My wife and I built an up-scale, energy efficient (highest Energy* rating: 5*+), 2400+ square-foot, 4-5 bedroom, 3 bath house in 2008, with the intention of selling it after 2 years. The bottom fell out of the real estate market so we decided to hold onto it. I travel frequently (see www.djgo.info), and we can’t afford the financial drain (about $2,000/month) of maintaining the Wilmington house (we own another one in Palm Desert, CA). Since the house is zoned single-family, we need to rent either the whole house to a biological/marital (NC legal) family, or possibly portions of it to people willing to share since "Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters." (Heb 2:11) The major goal is to have a tenant who will take good care of the home, as well as reducing or eliminating the financial drain. In any case, I will be very selective and won’t be renting the house to just anyone. Any renter must have excellent references and meet compatibility standards if sharing is done (this is not a general offer to rent).
No smoking, pets, or illegal (or blatantly immoral) activities allowed.
Schools are Holly Tree Elementary, Roland Grise Middle, and Hoggard High School. The upstairs, with its own bathroom, could either have 2 bedrooms, or one bedroom and a large living area. The main floor has a large master suite and 2 bedrooms (one has been used as an office), as well as the kitchen, laundry room, pantry, living room (with gas fireplace), dining room, and another bathroom. There is also a 2-car garage. Currently, the upstairs is unfurnished and main floor fully furnished. If an occupant has furniture, the existing furniture could be moved upstairs (there’s lots of unfinished storage space, also).
